Library Shows & Children's Entertainment Brisbane

Puppetrix provides interactive puppet and magic shows for libraries, library holiday programs and family literacy events throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.
With professional performance experience and a background in teaching and education, Carl uses puppetry, storytelling, nursery rhymes, magic and audience participation to encourage children's enjoyment of stories and shared reading experiences.
The performances complement the goals of early literacy initiatives such as Queensland's First 5 Forever by encouraging children and families to enjoy stories, songs, language and shared participation.
Puppet Shows That Bring Stories to Life
Puppetry and storytelling naturally complement library programs. Children aren't simply watching a performance – they are encouraged to join in, respond to characters, remember familiar rhymes and become part of the story.
There are two popular library packages available:
Mr Punch’s Puppet Show is a family friendly show that ‘brings stories to life!’. The performance engages children and parents, encouraging active participation with lively and colourful story characters. The 30 - 45 minute show enhances the enjoyment of stories and story telling, promotes discussion, inspires imagination and provides lots of laughter for all.
Puppetrix 'Once Upon a Giggle' Puppet and Magic Show is filled with magic and puppet fun. The 30 - 45 minute show incorporates a number of children’s favourite traditional nursery rhymes such as ‘Humpty Dumpty’, ‘Little Miss Muffett’ and stories such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The performances actively encourages children and parents to participate and ensures a good time is had by all.
